About Mary

I am passionate about encouraging people to live a healthy lifestyle through proper exercise and nutrition. I thoroughly enjoy working one-on-one with clients and providing them with a tailored training program as well as developing a healthy relationship with food. I firmly believe in goal setting and lifestyle modifications as an important step in managing one’s overall health and wellbeing.

I grew up backpacking and camping frequently and was introduced to rock climbing at the age of 20. I then spent several years focusing on that and climbing in various locations throughout the U.S. as well as teaching and coaching at a climbing gym. Through my first-hand experiences with rigorous outdoor activities I have learned that developing strength and stamina produces high levels of confidence and capability for tackling difficult circumstances in life.

I recently graduated with a Master of Science in Human Performance: Clinical. I am now eligible to take the exam offered through the American College of Sports Medicine to be a certified Exercise Physiologist. By definition, an exercise physiologist works with apparently healthy clients and those with medically-controlled diseases to establish safe and effective exercise and healthy lifestyle behaviors to optimize both health and quality of life.

In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my daughter, hiking, mountain biking, and working out of course!
